Redemption is defined as the purchase of something by trading in
something. One thing for another, and it does not necessarily have to
involve a transaction of money. To redeem means to receive a thing
that was lost or stolen by bartering. We purchase it back. Well, that is
exactly what Father God did when He gave Jesus Christ, His only
begotten Son as a bartering object, in order to purchase or buy back
the human population which had been stolen by a rebel spirit named
Satan. We were slaves to sin, death, sickness, disease, and poverty.
Adam’s disobedience plunged all of mankind into a nature ruled by
disobedience and sin’s dominion. We were separated from God’s love
and promises and spiritually dead on our way to hell’s fire.
Salvation is what we benefit by believing in Jesus: for He is the Son
of God, and God raised Him from the dead on the third day. He now
sits at God’s right hand glorified as the Redeemer to all who believe.
Jesus is known as the Lamb of God slain before the foundation of the
world. His shed blood was the forever sacrifice that redeems the heart
of men from evil and sin’s dominion.
[Romans 3:25-26 TPT] “Jesus’ God-given destiny was to be the
sacrifice to take away sins, and now he is our mercy seat because of
his death on the cross. We come to him for mercy, for God has made a
provision for us to be forgiven by faith in the sacred blood of Jesus.
This is the perfect demonstration of God’s justice, because until now,
he had been so patient—holding back his justice out of his tolerance
for us. So he covered over the sins of those who lived prior to Jesus’
sacrifice. And when the season of tolerance came to an end, there was
only one possible way for God to give away his righteousness and still
be true to both his justice and his mercy—to offer up his own Son. So
now, because we stand on the faithfulness of Jesus, God declares us
righteous in his eyes!”
Hallelujah, for Faith in His blood has become my salvation!
